promise

(verb) to tell somebody that you will definitely do or not do something, or that something will definitely happen
Example: The sales associate promised that our new mattress would arrive by noon on Saturday


offer

(verb) to say that you are willing to give something to somebody
Example: Devon accepted our offer to write the business plan


remember
remember /rɪˈmembər/
(verb) to have or keep an image in your memory of an event, a person, a place, etc. from the past
Example: I will remember the combination to the safe without writing it down

(noun) something that you intend to do or achieve
Example: Planning their wedding was a source of tension for the young couple


seem

(linking verb) to give the impression of being or doing something
Example: People aren’t always what they seem to be.

regret
