(noun) a place where people meet for an organized event, for example a concert, sporting event or conference

(verb) to pay the costs of a particular event, programme, etc. as a way of advertising
Example: The sponsor of that team is JVC, so the players wear the letters JVC on their shirts.


stimulate
stimulate /ˈstɪmjuleɪt/
(verb) to make something develop or become more active; to encourage something
Example: Reading stories can stimulate children's imagination.


participant
participant /pɑːrˈtɪsɪpənt/
(noun) a person who is taking part in an activity or event
Example: There are 44 participants in this competition.


worksheet
worksheet /ˈwɜːrkʃiːt/
(noun) a piece of paper or an electronic document on which there is a series of questions and exercises to be done by a student
Example: Each group was given a worksheet to write their answers on.


recite
recite /rɪˈsaɪt/
(verb) to say a poem, piece of literature, etc. that you have learned, especially to an audience
Example: They earn millions of dollars per film by reciting poetry.
